Hey there fellow darters! My name is Norm Tremblay, I live in Timmins,Ontario. I am the director for the Northern Ontario Darts Association(N.O.D.A),Timmins district. I am a HUGE dart fan! Fan of the game, and of the players who represent the game. I've been fortunate to have had some success in some of my darts in my 8 years of playing. My first three years...well...thats what they were. I learned the game from Wayne Boudreau(a exeptionally good darter and close friend), I purchased a set of 28 grams jocky wilsons and pounded the board. Practice..practice..then my first tournament...!@#$%..practice ..practice again! Now i'm not saying darts should come easy but try playing in Timmins in the shadow of Alfie Hale, Larry welch, Wayne Boudreau, Jean-Guy Magnan, Billy Kingsbury, Marc Vantassel. All of which are phenomenal players, all of which were all battling for top spot. So as you can see there were a lot of guns in town and not much room for another one....who am I kidding! Three years of practice gave me mental confidence, but there'd be a lot more practicing involved to reach the caliber of these guys! So I PRACTICED! 8 years after touching my first dart, here I am! I shoot a 20 Gramm Powerpoint, stand side foot to the oche. I've made Canadian Nationals darts Tournament 5 times, 2 time Provincial Champion. 2 time member of Team Canada. And was sent to Frimley Green and Bridlington in Surrey England to represent Canada at the WINMAU WORLD MASTERS twice. This year I am one of 4 N.D.F.C. members being sent to represent Canada at the World Cup in Epinal France! So thats my story, I'm living my dream. To tell you the truth, in darts I still fail as much as I succeed...but I love my life, my family, my darts, and I work hard at all of these..(maybe I spend more time with my darts!)I wish you all my kind of success!
Here's me and my buddy Wayne, Great guy!...even a better dart player!
